From the Dungeons & Dragons episode cartoon named "Prison Without Walls"...is that a clue?
The Justice League encounters these greenies in the episode "Paradise Lost"...Hmmm.
These "bad boys" were everywhere in the J.L.A. episode "The Terror Beyond" which I may look at in a more in depth individual post in the near future.
Superman and Batman succumb to this "plant" called "The Black Mercy" which ends up being a telepathic species sent to Superman as a gift in the episode "For The Man That Has Everything". The plant latches onto the victim shutting off the victim from all outside sensations and tricks the mind into believing He/She is in a "perfect world" dug up from their deep subconscious. Wow, is that not blatant!That's just some quick post spots before I have to head out to my wonderful job!

Interesting stuff these tentacles - or vines in the 'Green' community. I've been thinking about this as well.
It could be tentacles or vines of the human spirit.
Or something else?

very interesting - perhaps the one world/one consciousness idea is something similar to the Black Mercy - shutting off outside stimuli & creating the 'one world' inside your head - tv & computers have reduced physical interaction drastically - & their tentacles sure do reach far & wide & deep (into the psyche)

Whenever i see tentacles I think Cthulhu. The Cthulhu mythos are like those of the great beast that rose from the sea. The Bistea Neptunis of Roman times. I have an Interesting article on Reptilians, Sea Beast Mythology, Reptilian Brains, Neptune and hte piscean age, i think it heavily connects with your posts as well as with the new futurama which is incredibly sea beast tentacular.

Hey thanks for the comments! I think your right on about "serpent kult" symbolisms from cthulhu popping up here and there and everywhere! I have a feeling we've been watching Solar V.S. Serpent Kults (the true behind the scenes). Maybe now that we're seeing BOTH kults symbolisms used together means a unification of the two? Our One World Religion maybe? Perhaps.

I know you posted this a while back but wanted to toss in one that came to mind immediately when reading this post... in Star Trek : The Next Generation there is an episode called "The Game", which happens to be the sixth episode of the fifth season (5+6=11 lol)
In this episode the crew members are forced to play a virtual reality kind of game, where you have to make discs land in huge tentacle shaped wormholes, and if you succeed, you are granted a burst of endorphins which give you "amazing pleasure"
The game is HIGHLY addictive and people cannot get themselves to break away from it.. it has to be done by force
You should definately check that one out, lots of synch winks in a big way there.

I just watched Tapestry a few nights ago, and True-Q which was synching up with my investigation into Enochian magics.
